Polar Bear Cakes!

We followed the baking instructions to measure, mix, stir and combine different ingredients to make cupcakes. We were careful with the hot oven when baking to not burn ourselves!   The following day we were lucky to have some Year 6 children to come and help us decorate our cupcakes and turn them into polar bears!

As part of their RE work the children are looking at the Inuit community. They are looking at how the Inuit lifestyle is different to their own. They have looked at how they get their food, how they move around and what kind of homes they live in. This week they had a go at making their own igloos using cups and cotton wool.   

Icy walk to the duck pond.

The year 1 children walked to the duck pond this morning to look at winter changes. It was icy and cold and the duck pond was frozen over. The children drew what they could see and took photos of the ice and frost using the school IPads.  They were very enthusiastic about their walk when they came back to school. 

What Are We Like?!

We talked about different personality characteristics and what makes us - us! Lola 'I was brave when I went on my  bike with out stabilizers'.
